Fanvid -- "Barricade"
I swear, this is my last one! Ideally, for a very, very long time. But I have actually wanted to do this one for a long time, because the moment I first heard this song, I was overwhelmed by the applicability. Any little ditty wherein the main message is 'Gosh, you're so cruel and evil -- I love you!' passes the D/D test with flying, sadistic colours. Probably lots of reds in particular. Blood! Sexy office walls!

Barricade by Stars

Trapped on the terraces, I looked at you and knew
You were the only thing that mattered
There was no one for me but you
In Harmony Street we beat a man
Just for standing there
I held my breath as I watched you swing
Then run your fingers through your hair

Oh, how could anyone not love the terrible things you do?
Oh, how could anyone not want to try and help you?

Oh, how could anyone not want to rip it all apart?
Oh, how could anyone not love your cold, black heart?

I found you on a Saturday, and that was where I lost you
You had finally walk away because of what it cost you
Years later when I saw your face
In line to catch the morning train,
You looked like you'd been softened
Like you never really loved the pain

Meet me at the barricade, I'll be at the barricade
Meet me at the barricade, the love died, but the hate can't fade
The love died, but the hate can't fade

The last one for a very very long time? Oh lord, say it ain't so! I don't know what I'll do without my D/D vids. D:

Anyway, this is gorgeous as usual! I love the bits of cruelty, the smiles at the torture... I can't believe how well this song fits. You cut the vid perfectly to fit the lyrics - perfect! <3

This song...my word, it sounds like it was written for them. You used it so well here, this is such a beautiful vid.

How do you have such a gift for finding the perfect D/D songs?

Gorgeous vid. I loved it. Ugh, I miss these two.

I understand completely that you have other things to do in your life, but to ... ignore your gift for matching songs to images for this pairing ... well, darn it, it's just not fair to the rest of us.

Going to work on Let's Pretend now--having been inspired, yet again. Well, perhaps, after watching Lights On first. :)

It's amazing how songs I thought were so amazing to start with somehow become even more awesome when set to footage of them messing with each other. It's like my heart wants to leap out of my chest!

I'm gonna start a petition, there's just no way you can put your wonderful talent on hold. No way!

This vid was perfect. The song says so much about them, about all the unspoken feelings that define this ship.

And that last clip, with the I'm sorry parts, pure genius! They totally need to forgive, forget, and move onto hot office make up sex. LOL, one can dream :P

Great job as always!
