I totally feel gyped by Victor's use, though. Though the actor does a wonderful job of imitating Reed Diamond, I still want Laurence back in his real body so that Adelle can do naughty fun stuff to it. Still, just seeing him in any portrayal makes me so happy. But damn, the moment of anguish that flashes across Victor/Dominic's face? *Heart breaking* And him begging Adelle? My god, this is all types of angsty. This show better be renewed, because it will drive me insane if these two go out on a non-resolved point.

My bet is that "Whiskey" is a codeword to Saunders, who's another NSA agent.

I'm quite impressed by his imitation as well, but I totally agree with you. I'm holding out hope though, since RD's name is in the credit list. Hopefully it's not just a shot of his memoryless body! :\

Hmmm, that'd be an interesting twist. I was thinking it was a slip and that this was confirmation that Claire is actually a doll that had to be put to other use because of her scars. That also lets me nurture the ridiculous idea that Adelle and Laurence are secret agent partners (in love) that have to go to great lengths and carry out great betrayals (they are professionals after all) to complete their mission.

If you notice that when Echo is questioning Saunders during 1.09 interrogations with all suspects, Saunder's answers are left open-ended to the interpretation, and Echo never really finishes conducting her interview because Dominic storms in and announces that they've caught the mole.

Though Saunders as a doll also works, because she was the only one who wasn't shown in "Echoes," so we never saw if she had an instant reaction to the drug like Adelle and Topher, or a delayed reaction like the dolls.

Oooo! Yes, I was thinking back to her absence in "Echoes" as an additional clue to her status as a doll. Now I'm thinking, what if she's an agent and a doll? Haha, no, that would be way too convoluted. Although...hmm, I must think about this more. I'm so loving having a show that makes me think up strange plot twists, it's been far too long.

Seriously. I honestly wasn't too fond of this show for the first six episodes, but damn if the last six aren't going to make me a full-on fanatic. Largely because of Dominic/DeWitt, yes, but the story has really just finally started to unravel the conspiracy.

That is exactly how I felt about the show. I remember watching the pilot and actually saying "Meh". I actually said that out loud. Now I say things like "Gah" and "Whoa" and "More", usually with much flailing. Still a one syllable reaction, but breathed in a stupor of awe, rather than indifference.

And yes, Dominic and Dewitt are a huge part of that for me. I usually only get invested in a series if I feel pulled in by a character (or characters). That wasn't happening at first, and then wham, Adelle takes out Hearn, and Friday is a weekly, can't miss appointment. Then once I was a card carrying Adelle fan I saw the spark between she and Laurence. That was it of course, I was a goner. Hi, my name is sunney, and I'm a Dominic/Dewitt-aholic.

I hope beyond hope that the conspiracy is allowed to completely unravel. That the story is told, and we get to see it. The questions it's bringing to the surface, about humanity and choice and the paths we take (good and bad), the ideas about self and consciousness. I want to see what crazy ideas are stewing in Mr. Whedon's brain. Please Fox, hear our plea!

I know! That was it for me. And the wierd thing is, my Adelle-adoration was a delayed reaction. I liked her from the beginning, but I wasn't IN-LOVE-WITH-HER. Or Dominic. Until, strangely, 1.07 Echoes, where you got to see them high. And then wham. My Adelle love was born like whoa. And the D/D scene at the end just sealed the deal of the awesomeness of that ep.

Then, I rewatched episodes and kept looking for Adelle (and Dominic).

Then, 1.09 happened. Need I say more?

LOL, our stories are the same story! I had actually missed "Man on the Street", and the couple before it. But High!Adelle so totally intrigued me that I went back to watch it. The "three flowers in a vahse" scene cemented it for me. And I actually couldn't stand Dominic until Echoes. Then he uttered "Soft. Like a kitty." and everything changed. Funny how a single scene can do that. Olivia Williams and Reed Diamond are just such excellent actors though. So subtle and nuanced.

And yes, 1.09. You need not elaborate :)

I cannot believe I have to wait until tomorrow morning (I don't have a TV) to watch this! This is awesome...but I'm very sad it's not Reed Diamond, because let's face it, he and Olivia Williams have way more chemistry than DeWitt and Victor. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks, I am actually in that crazy mode where my train of thought is "hmmm, how soon until I can go to bed, because the sooner I go to bed, the sooner I can wake up and watch Dollhouse!" I will just have to keep checking back on this post to see people's reactions to the episode.

Oh goodness, I hope so much that he's in it! I couldn't find him listed in this episode on IMDB, but I don't think IMDB is always updated correctly.

I don't see how he and Adelle can ever have a happy ending after this. He must hate her so much, and he's completely at her mercy, which must be utterly humiliating. I feel like Laurence Dominic is not the kind of man who forgives easily. I keep thinking they would have to have violent ready-to-kill-each-other-whoops-we-unzipped-out-pants sex like Buffy and Spike, and I really don't want Adelle and Dominic to have a Spuffy S6 destructive relationship. :(
