Deleted Scenes/Unaired Pilot
I borrowed the Dollhouse DVDs form a friend and finally had the opportunity to see extra content, and the original pilot, which I had only ever seen stills from. Cue lots of gross sobbing, emotional turmoil, a few cries of 'I love you/look at your beautiful face' and some screencaps.

The deleted scene is from Stop Loss and let me say, had it been in the show, I definitely would have been looking at Adelle a bit differently at the end of the show.

Sorry about the wonky image size and borders- I was doing a very weird method for screen capping.

ETA: I did a transcript and took more caps of the deleted scene and put it up on my journal

Why are you even moderating yourself.
I tried to find a synopsis for the deleted stop loss scene online but could not. and it does not look like i can see the scene soon and i'm just so curious. Do you know where I can read a synopsis?
or can you tell me if it changed the way you view adelle in a good way or bad way? ;-;

It's when Anthony is at the club, wandering around, before he fake sees Sierra.

He's at the bar and Adelle walks up to him and they start chatting. Because he's never seen her face before and she didn't sign him out when he left the Dollhouse, she's just a stranger to him.

He talks about how he feels like he's looking for someone and he's kind of drifting and hey why are you here this doesn't seem like your scene. And she's all 'I'm just checking up on a friend'. And he gets into how he 'just left the hospital' after being treated for PTSD and he doesn't feel like it really helped him. And she puts her hand on his and just looks at him like 'I'm so fucking sorry' and then he goes 'my hotel room is around the corner' at which point Adelle downs her drink, and tells him they both know she's not the girl he's looking for before leaving.

And then there's this wide shoe and it reveals Boyd watching them, which is pretty creepy.

I just would have been looking at her differently because her relationship to Victor was always a 'eh' to me. I never really saw it as a relationship with the doll/person and more he happened to be the meat suit worn with the personality of the lover she had made. So that moment would have changed that whole dynamic for me. Plus the Attic is right after this one, so that she would go out of her way to be a stranger to comfort him and then screw him and everyone over would have been interesting.

I'll take more caps and do a proper transcript.

THANK YOU
for the synopsis!!

"Plus the Attic is right after this one, so that she would go out of her way to be a stranger to comfort him and then screw him and everyone over would have been interesting."

oh... i think if this scene was included then it would be confusing for me to understand adelle's sending everyone to the attic.

Re: THANK YOU
No problem!

I put a link to a transcript and more caps at the top of the post if you're interested.

I remember after Adelle had her moment in the shower and I was all 'yeah she's going to sober up and start helping out' and then she sent everyone to the Attic and I was just like 'wait WHAT'. Then for a good chunk of the Attic I was trying to cling to the hope that Adelle was evil and one of the founders (not that I dislike helpful Momma Adelle, but I do love my villains) and then that was taken away and it turns out she really was helping everyone out. Then it just became 'aw, she was manipulating us &hearts'
